PurplePeony on "Pumping after nursing if LO only takes one side per feeding?"

I had an oversupply so I had to pump the side she didn't eat first thing in the morning or we were both miserable all day. I didn't want to encourage it too much so I'd pump about 4 oz but wouldn't totally empty the breast. Then I'd feed her from that side for her next feeding. I built up a pretty great freezer stash that way! I also never really kept track of which boob she'd eaten from last, I just fed her from whichever felt more full. We never had a problem with it.
